The New Miami Carnival Site Goes Live

The New Miami Carnival Site Goes Live

Imagine sipping on the crowd favorite specialty craft Calypso Cooler – refreshing gin drink with notes of cucumber and lime. Then getting your photos taken by professional photographer Adrienne Freeman at sunset while feeling the ocean breeze. All while relaxing on the rooftop of South Beach’s only 4 star luxury boutique – The Betsy. Listen to the sound of Bahamian rhythms as the notes from a steal drum drift into the air. This is the scene that some of Miami’s social influencers and I got to experience at the re-launch of miamibrowardcarnival.com thanks to its publicist Yvette Harris. Harris and Miami Carnival’s Gold Sponsor – Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau’s VP of multicultural diversity and development, Connie Kinnard, welcomed everyone.

Mas Life 365’s, president and CEO Ray Balgrove and Mas Life 365’s Vice President- Operations Menelsa Amedee walked us through their impressive complete redesign of the festival’s website. Updates included making the site more appealing, user-friendly and interactive. The website now has video components, access to your favorite mas bands and details on events that you can enjoy such as J’ouvert.

One of the most impressive components is a special section just for kids to experience – MBCJunior.Com.  Julien Believe, Bahamian soca artist and The Bahamas Carnival’s grand master, capped off the night with a surprise visit.  Attendees were treated to a premiere of his new video Party Ambassadors. I had a great time hosting #MBCGoesLive and am looking forward to all of the Miami Carnival festivities!
